VEPGrants

Over the past 10 years, Ventura Education Partnership has provided more than $1.3 million in small grants to VUSD teachers that make a BIG impact on learning. VEPGrants have touched every child in VUSD and have a lasting impact on learning by incentivizing innovation in the classroom and incubating new programs district-wide.

For the 2018/19 school year, VEP gave grants totaling over $80,000. Click for recipients.

Think BIG VEPGrants

February 11, 2019 VEP is excited to announce a pilot of Think BIG VEPGrants. We seek to fund 3 projects.

Think BIG VEPGrants are different from the usual VEPGrants.

They are larger grants in the $4,000-$6,000 range over a 2 year span. Year 1 is for planning and implementation. Year 2 is for implementation, evaluation, possible replication.
 • These projects must be highly innovative and transformative.
 • Collaboration between teachers, possibly community, parents, and/or students is encouraged.
 • Think about exploring pathways that cross grade levels or subjects.
 • Projects should be interdisciplinary where appropriate.
 • For consideration, submit an application. Selected applicants will be invited to an interview.
 • Invited applicants along with available members of the collaborative team will give a 15 minute presentation to an evaluation panel consisting of VEP Board Members and Community Members. An additional 15 minutes will be available for Q&A. Additional information will be provided to selected applicants.
