Who We Are

The mission of the Ventura Education Partnership (VEP), a community-based, non-profit, non-political association, is to support and enrich education in the Ventura Unified School District through community partnerships.

This all-volunteer group also fosters community recognition of the work of district teachers and staff and enlists the participation of parents, businesses and community members in the education of our district’s children.

Apply For A Grant

VEP provides grants for teachers and staff throughout VUSD. This enrichment grant program, which encourages the development of creative, educational projects that stimulate learning by students, has been one of the central functions of VEP since the partnership’s inception.

Each year, teachers and staff from VUSD schools and district programs submit short grant proposals which are reviewed and evaluated by a diverse group of volunteers from VEP, its partners, and the school community. Grants of up to $1,000 each are awarded twice a year for projects and activities that supplement core curricula in kindergarten through high school.

Support Our Work

Our children are our future. Please join us in helping to make our schools the best they can be.  Your donation will go directly to support grants that enrich student lives every day in Ventura.

As an all-volunteer board, we are able to ensure that all money raised goes directly to supporting kids.  As a donor, you are able to select the type of grant you would like to support: Arts & Music, Science & Technology, Health & Wellness, General grants or create a new grant with your own criteria!
